On June 9th, I had the privilege of speaking to Starbucks Corporation’s in-house counsel and outside panel counsel about discovery procedures, social media (the good, bad, and ugly) and witness development at the Annual Counsel Summit. I discussed best methods for corporate consistency in managing discovery responses, creative search mechanisms for social media background checks, and ways to get (and keep) employee witnesses engaged in the litigation process.
The Summit included several speakers from many areas both inside and outside Starbucks Corporation. It was a great opportunity to learn more about our client, corporate values and internal structure.
It was nice to meet in person to continue to build our relationship with Starbucks Corporation. The most valuable experience of the trip, however, was absorbing Starbucks’ warm culture and energizing vibe. Thanks for having me!
