Lincoln Derr is proud to have served as a table sponsor for the 2018 Justice for All Breakfast held on Tuesday, October 2nd at The Westin Charlotte. Over 450 guests gathered to learn about the vital work of the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy (CCLA) and Legal Aid North Carolina-Charlotte (LANC), and we are thrilled at the overwhelming response from our colleagues and friends. Both CCLA and LANC are nonprofits that address the justice gap in our community and ensure equal access to high-quality legal representation for low-income people in the Charlotte Metropolitan area and West-Central North Carolina.
The Justice for All Breakfast annually serves as the premier fundraising kick-off for the CCLA and LANC. The funds raised directly impact the Charlotte region, ensuring fair treatment and equal access to legal representation that protects basic needs, such as safety, economic stability, and family stability for members of our community.
“As a member of the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy Board, on behalf of the North Carolina Bar Association, I am keenly aware that one person cannot eliminate the plight that so many low-income people face in gaining the help of an attorney to protect their rights,” says Lincoln Derr attorney Gwendolyn W. Lewis. “However, together – organizations and individuals alike – can combat these issues in our community and effect meaningful change. The 2018 Justice for All Breakfast has given our organization and each of us as individuals an opportunity to show the CCLA and LANC, through financial contributions and our presence, that we are grateful for the great work that they do each and every day and we are supporters.”
We look forward to learning of the event’s financial success. If you were not able to attend and would like to donate, please click HERE.
