The Lincoln Derr legal team traveled to Chicago September 25-29 to attend the National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) 2018 Annual Meeting and Law Firm Expo. This year the conference enjoyed record attendance.
Lincoln Derr attorney Gwendolyn W. Lewis points out, “conceptually, NAMWOLF invites strangers to its conference with a primary commonality of diversity ownership; however, through careful planning and amazing execution – the once strangers organically leave as friends.”
The Annual Meeting is NAMWOLF’s premier event providing an exclusive opportunity for Fortune 1000 companies to connect with the nations most talented minority and women-owned law firms. The conference also features high-quality continuing legal education and a relaxed networking opportunity.
“The camaraderie among competitors is refreshing and the ambiance is supportive. We all have one thing in common – we are not the same. It is nice to celebrate our differences together,” commented Lincoln Derr Founder Tricia Derr.
For the second year in a row, Lincoln Derr chose to blend our commitment to community involvement with our NAMWOLF Law Firm Expo theme. Last year we made a CASH CONTRIBUTION to victims of Hurricane Harvey and Maria for every BUSINESS CARD collected at the NAMWOLF Expo. In response to the devastation in our home state of North Carolina due to Hurricane Florence, we adopted the same “CARDS for CASH” theme and donated to the victims of Florence on behalf of each card collected at our booth.
We value connections made, old and new, at the 2018 NAMWOLF Annual Meeting and Law Firm Expo and look forward to seeing everyone in Los Angeles next year.
