Team Lincoln Derr joined hundreds of companies in North Carolina by participating in The Ronald McDonald House Sport A Shirt, Share A Night campaign. On Friday, May 5th we proudly “sported” our shirts at the Lincoln Derr office.
“When I arrived at the Ronald McDonald House to pick up our shirts, I was impressed with the beauty and warmth of the house. There were volunteers in the kitchen baking cookies and a family in the dining room eating breakfast. It was pleasant to see first hand how Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is helping deserving families”, explained Lincoln Derr Marketing Director Dori Cazorla.
The funds generated by the small gesture of purchasing a shirt add up. This year, North Carolina companies purchased approximately 7,000 shirts and raised over $115,000. The funds collected are used to support the daily operation of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. Hosting a family at The Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte costs an average of $142 per night. The requested donation of $15 is often difficult for families burdened with the expenses of a sick child.
