The Basics

Who are you?

My name is Sara Lincoln and I am a trial lawyer.

What do you do?

I begin preparing cases for trial from the minute we open the file in the office.

Where did you come from?

A small city, a tough high school, and a women’s college.

How did you get here?

Hard work, perseverance, and faith in myself.

Why should I hire you?

Trial experience. A lawyer who has not tried a case does not have the perspective to strategically maneuver a case in each step leading up to a trial. Not every case will get tried, but in order to get the best possible result at any stage in the life of a law suit, a lawyer has to be preparing the case for trial from day one. I have argued hundreds of motion hearings, mediated hundreds of cases, and tried dozens of civil jury trials to verdict in the state and federal courts of North Carolina.

Digging Deeper

Business philosophy?

Work hard, respect the opposition, and provide the best possible service to clients.

Proudest moment?

Professionally, my proudest moment was obtaining a defense verdict in a case against one of the top plaintiff lawyers in North Carolina.  The jury was out for just over an hour after a three week trial.  Personally, the births of my daughters.

Biggest regret?

I have no regrets.  Everything that happens in life happens for a reason.

Favorite quote?

“That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” Friedrich Nietzsche.

Best quality in business?

Tenacity, focus, and a drive to do the best job that I can for my clients.

Making it Personal

Family?

I have an unbelievably supportive husband, Erik, who is an outstanding lawyer in his own right. I have two beautiful and energetic daughters Mikayla and Brooke who are currently focusing their energy on school and soccer.

If I could meet anyone…

Any President of the United States.

If I could hear any song right now…

“Defying Gravity” by Stephen Schwartz from the soundtrack of “Wicked.”

My biggest influence is…

My family.

Three random things about me…

  1. I love all sports.
  2. My dream job would be to replace Nancy Grace on Court TV.
  3. Exercise helps me relax.
